1. Pick 5 different products from the list. For each one, say if it is an invention or an innovation and explain why.

2. Pick one product that you think will be a success and explain why?

3. Pick on product that you think will not be (very) successful and explain why?

4. Go to the following link listing some Canadian Inventions and pick THREE (3) 'inventions' and answer questions a,b, and c

Now that you know a bit about your competition, it is time to conduct some market research.  Since both groups have products that most students are not the target market for, you are not required to actually conduct the research but instead come up with a plan on how you would conduct your research.  This must include a series of questions (at least 10) that you would ask in either a survey (postal, phone, internet), face to face interview, focus group or a combination of many.  I will check your progress to help you as needed.
